Asset-Based Community Development for Churches

Churches are integral to the well-being of neighborhoods and

communities. By placing ministries alongside others, seeking

partnerships with community residents, and building strong

networks and coalitions, the gifts of everyone can be harnessed for

systemic and sustainable transformation.

This 60 minute micro-learning is an introduction to Asset-Based

Community Development (ABCD). With ABCD tools and practices,

congregations deepen their connections to their neighborhoods and

towns and discover new ways in which they can support neighbors

and strengthen the community. This reconnection leads to more

vitality as congregations rediscover a sense of vision and purpose.
